Polaroid: The Magic Material by Florian KapsPolaroid: The Magic Material by Florian Kaps

Florian ‘Doc’ Kaps was fascinated the magic of Polaroid.  Before digital photography the only way to get a instant printed photo was from an instant camera.  It was actually developed in 1940 but I remember my family first got one in the late 60’s.  I still have some of the photos from that camera but they are quite faded.

In ‘Polaroid’ talks about how the camera and technology was developed and the models that were out in the marketplace.  He also talks about how he revived film production in 2008 with The Impossible Project.  Demand is growing for instant photography again today.

Packed with lots of instant photos, Polaroid: The Magic Material would make a excellent coffee table book and a great gift for any photography lover!  In fact, I just got a copy for someone in our family for Christmas.  I can’t say whom, in case they are reading this review. LOL! This is a really fun book!

I received a beautiful hardbound copy for my honest opinion.
