Praise Christmas Eve Letter: Time Travel Novel by Elyse Douglas

“The Christmas Eve Letter is a wonderful Christmas novel. The authors weave an intriguing time travel holiday romance tale written in the third person narrative that follows Eve Sharland’s personal journey between the present and the past.  The reader is easily drawn into this fast paced time travel holiday romance story as they follow Eve’s journey between the past and the present. The reader can easily envision both the present and the past among the city’s famous landmarks, and easily get drawn into the city’s joyous sights and sounds of the holiday season. You can’t help but relate to Eve and cheer her on as her personal journey brings an unexpected destiny that will change her life forever. I really enjoyed the intertwining of a time travel tale with a holiday romance twist, the historical references were realistic, while the time travel between the present and past kept me intrigued right to the end.  Captivating.”-Kathleen, Jersey Girl Book Reviews

“If you are a fan of authors such as Nicholas Sparks and  Marybeth Whalen, or H.G. Wells or Jack Finney, you need to add this book to your shelves.
This is a romantic suspense novel with many dangerous and tense moments. As always, when one travels in time, the concern of consequences and potential changes to history and the future weigh heavily on both the traveler’s and readers’ minds.  Those worries added to the atmosphere but were also handled skillfully. I smiled at a certain twist of color. It is a perfect bookclub read.”-Laura’s Interests

“The Christmas Eve Letter is a beautiful, poignant story. It is well written and will have you turning the pages eagerly.
All of the characters are well thought out, and believably written, together with the well-constructed scenery, that has you feeling as if you yourself have just stepped into the past.
The story is unique and moving. It will hold you long after you turn the last page. A perfect Christmas tale of love and hope.”-Whispering Stories

A great plot and a very fast-paced and well told story.  The women characters were strongly portrayed.   I got taken on the ride of my life, traveling between different eras with Eve and waiting with bated breath to see how the story would turn out.-Corinne Rodrigues, Everyday Gyaan

Description of Christmas In Paris by Anita Hughes

Isabel Lawson is standing on the balcony of her suite at the Hotel Crillon as she gazes at the twinkling lights of the Champs Elysee and wonders if she’s made a terrible mistake. She was supposed to be visiting the Christmas tree in the Place de la Concorde, and eating escargots and macaroons with her new husband on their honeymoon. But a week before the wedding, she called it off. Isabel is an ambitious Philadelphia finance woman, and Neil suddenly decided to take over his grandparents’ farm. Isabel wasn’t ready to trade her briefcase for a pair of rubber boots and a saddle.

When Neil suggested she use their honeymoon tickets for herself, she thought it would give her a chance to clear her head. That is until she locks herself out on the balcony in the middle of winter. Thankfully her neighbor Alec, a French children’s illustrator, comes to her rescue. He too is nursing a broken heart at the Crillon for the holidays. With a new friend by her side, Isabel is determined to use her time in the city of lights wisely. After a chance encounter with a fortune teller and a close call with a taxi, she starts to question everything she thought was important.

Christmas in Paris
is a moving and heartwarming story about love, trust, and self-discovery. Set during the most magical week of the year, the glorious foods and fashions of the most romantic city in the world are sure to take your breath away.

Christmas CatsBook Description:

The Christmas Cats Encounter Bats is a Seuss-ical tale for young children which builds upon the morals of the first two Christmas Cats books (The Christmas Cats in Silly Hats and The Christmas Cats Chase Christmas Rats). Book One (The Christmas Cats in Silly Hats) stressed that twin sisters—or anyone— should learn to play together nicely. When one twin bit the other on the nose, it was a sign that a story about playing together nicely would be useful. Learning to cooperate is important for everyone.

Book Two, The Christmas Cats Chase Christmas Rats, urges acceptance and advises against prejudice. “It’s best to be open and trusting and kind, and always to keep an open mind.” Learn to accept others in a non-judgmental, open-minded fashion.

Book Three, The Christmas Cats Encounter Bats urges everyone to honor life in all its forms. Love and accept all God’s creatures. Some animals—(puppies and kitties come to mind)— are popular with nearly everyone. Others (spiders, lizards, bats, etc.) may not seem as worthy, but all are small cogs in the universe. Bats serve a very useful purposes in God’s grand scheme. All life should be valued. The bats of story three are just as deserving of respect and have as much of a right to life as any other creature on the planet.

My Thoughts:

There are strange sounds coming from the school bus parked at a local mall.  The Christmas Cats are called to investigate and they find bats.  ‘The Christmas Cats Encounter Bats’, is the delightful sequel to the ‘Christmas Bats’ series.  It is quite Dr. Suess like in rhyme and is sure to entertain young children and teach them important lessons on treating others kindly.  Even to those who are different to you.  Sure, bats are not cute and furry like some animals but they have an important purpose on this earth.

I highly recommend the entire series and not just for Christmas.  I can be enjoyed any time.

5/5

I bought this ebook after reading book II in the series, The Christmas Cats Chase Christmas Rats‘.  The opinions are my own and honest.
