I have been glued to CNN during all of the primaries!
As many of you may know, I live in Canada and have duel citizenship. I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Whenever I have told people that I am from the U.S.A., I have felt shame. Not for the USA and her people, but for our politics and politicians (you know whom I’m talking about).
Obama makes me feel proud to be an American again!
Yes I will vote and I hope you will too! It’s more important than ever!
YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!
This is a great video the Stephanie from Confessions of a Bookaholic shared with her readers. Now I want to share it with you. It brought me to tears.

Teddy, I just love this post!! Cause it’s truly how I feel. Tuesday actually made me proud to be an American. So many people going to the polls….saying to Washington, “We are unhappy. You are not doing the job you were elected to do. So we are going to find someone who will!”
Being from Illinois, I have been exposed to Obama for awhile now. He has such PASSION. He would be so good for this country!! I think he could really bring us together, instead of splitting us apart.
Yes, WE CAN!!
I’m from St. Paul, too! I currently live in White Bear Lake, which is only minutes away. I totally can relate to your post. I think a lot of people can. Obama has my vote for sure!
Lezlie
Right on Stephanie!
That’s great Lezlie and nice to meet a fellow Minnesotan. I grew up in Highland Park. How about you?
YES WE CAN!
Completly OT – sorry! I have tagged you for a meme!
I grew up in Woodbury, back when it was all still farm fields. 🙂
Lezlie
No worries Marg! Thanks for the tag.
Cool Lezlie. Do you ever get back there?
It’s only about 30 minutes away, and my parents still live there, so I’m there quite often. How about you?
I don’t get back very often. I have lots of relatives still there, but my parents moved to Florida after my father retired.
My father just passed in September and we flew him back to MN for the funeral, etc.
It was the first time I had been back in years! My Mom and I stayed with my Aunt in Minneapolis. Everything has changed. A lot of the freeways seem to have different names.
We are now in the process of trying to persuade my Mom to move back to MN. Most of her friend in FL have sadly passed. There is no one there for her anymore.
Where as in MN she would have lots of support and friends. If she does eventually move back, I will get there a lot more often. I go to FL at least twice a year, but it’s about 17 hours travel time. Where as to MN there is a direct flight that takes about four hours. It would make it so much easier for her, my brother, and myself.
I looked into having her come live here, but Canada doesn’t want to accept anyone who will cost a fortune in the medical system.
Okay, sorry I think you probably didn’t want to know all of this 411!
