Life is further complicated when Dee’s good friend, Karla, is physically assaulted by a sadist that Dee had helped put behind bars. Newly released, he decides to turn his sights on justice-driven Dee, making it his personal mission to ensure her failure – and demise.

Dee dangerously navigates through the two worlds of crime – determined to survive them both… in just ten days.

Praise 10 Days by Jule Selbo

“’10 DAYS’ is riveting and fun and inventive, and best of all, it features Dee Rommel, a tough, fearless, beautiful sleuth with an intriguing past. You won’t be able to put it down until the suspenseful and totally satisfying conclusion.”- Kate Christensen, PEN/Faulkner Award-winning author of The Great Man and The Last Cruise.

“Jule Selbo’s “10 DAYS” boasts a high-octane plot introducing Dee Rommel, a streetwise protagonist whose personal creed drives a compelling narrative. She and the rest of Selbo’s deeply human characters are so real and compelling you’ll wish The Sparrow was your local. But Dee’s personal courage and loyalty to her tight circle of friends give this debut novel its power and will have fans signaling for another round.” – Brenda Buchanan, author of the Joe Gale Mysteries

“10 DAYS author Jule Selbo deftly contrasts the criminal elements of working-class vs high class, hi-tech vs low-tech. She knows the world and clearly illuminates Dee’s own demons as she struggles to right humanity’s wrongs – and decide the path of her own future.”-Susan Merson, author of Oh Good, Now This

Murder At the Estate Sale by Lily CharlesMurder At the Estate Sale by Lily Charles

Thanks to Caitlin Hamilton Marketing and Publicity LLC, I am giving away one print copy of ‘Murder At the Estate Sale’ by Lily Charles.

Description Murder At the Estate Sale by Lily Charles

Molly O’Donnell is an antiquarian bookseller with specialties in several categories, including titles about the occult. She’s also the owner of two large, loyal, and lovable Russian wolfhounds and is possessed of a curiosity that leads to occasional recklessness.

Emma Clarke is a former academic, new to bookselling, who’s trying to gather her life together after a long but finally unsuccessful relationship. She likes her quiet life. She likes having no pets or obligations.

When Emma and Molly meet while waiting to enter an estate sale to search for the old, the rare, and the sell-able, what they find is a murder. Hearing a cry, Emma ignores a “Do Not Enter” sign and discovers book thief Buck Hubbell bashed in the head in a basement library. Molly soon follows and finds a slip of paper with a grave warning, written in ancient script. The paper has fallen from one of the books in this private part of the collection excluded from the sale. The page is creepy and hints at black arts, which neither lady condones, despite their intellectual interest in the subject.

Newly introduced, tentatively attracted to each other, and terrified, Molly and Emma form an uneasy alliance to reunite the ephemera with its original text—and to solve a murder.

Bibliophiles and mystery fans will relish this clever novel as well as champion this new pair of amateur sleuths who have the best intentions, the worst timing, big hearts, and significant smarts.

Praise Murder At the Estate Sale by Lily Charles

“…a delightful cozy mystery thanks to Molly and Emma’s reckless, brave aplomb.” Foreword Reviews

“…a charming pastiche of the age-old body-in-the-cellar mystery genre—one that’s full of hidden passageways, occult rituals, and, of course, amateur sleuthing….this book manages to rise above much of the competition, owing to its consistently jovial and easygoing narrative style, as well as its informative discussions of Renaissance sorcery. A fun, lightweight read for mystery fans, which will also keep occultists and bibliophiles happy.” Kirkus Reviews

.Description Dharma: Rekha Rao Mystery by Vee Kumari

Rekha Rao, a thirty-something Indian American professor of art history, is disillusioned by academia and haunted by the murder of her father. She believes police convicted the wrong person, and moves away from her match-making family.

She’s focused on managing her PTSD and healing her heart, broken by an abusive boyfriend. She gets entangled in a second murder, that of her mentor and father figure. The murder weapon, an idol of the Hindu goddess Durga, is left behind on the body. Detective Al Newton asks her to look into the relationship, if any, between the meaning of the statue and the motive for the murder.

Rekha is attracted to Al but steers clear of him because of her distaste for cops and fear of a new relationship. The two constantly clash, starting a love-hate relationship. Meanwhile, her family sets her up to meet a suitor, an Indian attorney. When police arrest one of her students and accuse her mentor of idol theft, Rekha is left with no other choice but to look for the killer on her own.

Despite admonitions from Al and bodily harm caused by an intruder, Rekha finds the killer, and in the process, emerges from the cocoon of a protected upbringing to taste the prospect of romance and discover her true identity.
