So, technically none of these books arrived in my mail box as I got them all from Net Galley.
Safe From the Sea will be coming out on September 28th in the U.S. It’s a new one from Unbridled Books.
I’m not sure why this book is still on Net Galley because it was published in September, 2009. However, I saw a review about it a long time ago and had added it onto my TBR. I am thrilled to have it now.
Brave New Knits will be out on Augusts 31st. It looked like too much fun for a knitter such as myself to pass up.

We want to see what you create from the two knitting books!
I agree with bermudaonion, I want to see your projects! I knit, but not well, so I love seeing everyone else’s projects.
Also, I’ve never heard of Net Galley before, but I’m intrigued!!! I’m browsing through the site, and how cool is that? Learn something new every day! 🙂
Ooh, I want that second knitting book! (I’m not advanced or brave enough to make socks yet.) Do post about what you knit!
I wish I could knit, but I just can’t learn it 🙁 I so envy your talent!
Have fun with your new books!
My mailbox is HERE.
Knitting books! Do I see a possible giveaway of something you make soon?
Kathy, sure thing. It may be awhile though.
Stephanie, Net Galley is great for getting galleys as long as you have something to read them on.
Avsannchild, if you want to learn how to make socks, slippers are a good project to try first because they are bigger. That’s all I’ve done so far. Know I want to try socks. My “specialty” is usually sweaters.
Amy, I learned when I was a youngster and practice is the key.
Julie, I haven’t thought of that. You never know.
Thanks for the advice, Teddy Rose! I must admit I don’t even want to make socks yet. I only just made my first hat recently and have never attempted a sweater!
