My Thoughts:
Organic Beauty Products covers just about everything anyone would what to know about beauty products and essential oils. It is very easy to understand and follow the recipes. Rebecca Park Totilo goes into detail about what each essential oil is for and how they work and provides a recipe for just about every bath product under the sun.
I just tried a few of the recipes so far and have loved them. First I tried the Glistening Winter Night Bath Salts. The bath made me calm and relaxed and my skin felt rejuvenated. Then I made the Oatmeal-Almond Exfoliating Facial Scrub. Wow! It worked just as well as the very expensive tube of facial scrub I always bout at the health food store. From now on, I’m making it instead of buying it! Last, I made the Peppermint and Rosemary Steam Facial. It was invigorating but relaxing at the same time and my skin felt amazing.
There are several other recipes I would like to try however, because I am vegan, I need to find some vegetable glycerin. Some of the recipes called for other non-vegan products such as honey, Beeswax, milk, cream, and yogurt. I will need to find out if there are any substitutes that would work the same way. For example, would my homemade soy yogurt work?
I am looking forward to trying more of these beauty products and highly recommend this book. A note to my vegan friends: I found enough vegan friendly recipes in this book to make it quite worthwhile. I will let you know what I find out about substitutions. If you know of any, please post in the comments.

I received the ebook edition of this book for my honest opinion.

This book would be perfect for my wife. She’s always looking for organic products like this and the ones she likes most are quite pricey. I’m sure she’d like to try making some for a change. Thanks.
Thanks Teddy for your honest review of my book Organic Beauty With Essential Oil. I hope you’ll find some recipes useful and vegan! Now that you have brought that to my attention, I will be working on a new project with that in mind! So many recipes, so little time!
I didn’t read through the comments, so others may have posted this, but Candelilla Wax is a vegan substitute for beeswax. Sorry, I don’t know any vegan substitutes for the others in personal care products!
this would be practical and helpful. thanks. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
