Ronan, a Scottish selkie meets his match and his true mate in this brilliant novel from author Ella Rose.
Ronan is not prepared to meet Una on the late Summer day that he does. In fact, all he is thinking about that day is his meeting with a group of siren emissaries about the civil war that has been going on between their clans for a decade.
Though it sounds fantastical, it is just another day to Ronan. Only on this day, something unexpected happens. It is just after hiding his precious seal skin in a cave by the beach that he bumps into a human woman—and this human woman has a big secret.
Una MacCallan was hunting for mussels on the beach when she stumbled across Ronan changing out of his seal skin, and, knowing the legend of the selkies, she took the skin and hid it. Una does not wish for Ronan to be her husband, in accordance with what usually happens when a human takes possession of a selkie skin, but she does want Ronan to help her.
Una’s home on the island of Selbane has been struck with a curse that no one can seem to end. Una wants Ronan to help her end the curse and free her people from it’s torment, but in order to do so, they must pose as husband and wife to throw off suspicion from the people of the island.
A magical novel with just enough heat to keep things steamy, ‘Stealing the Selkie’s Heart,’ starts off on a high note and doesn’t let up until the very last page. This wonderful book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. I couldn’t wait to find out how they were going to solve the curse and resolve their mutual sexual tension. If you love a good swoon-worthy romance, I highly recommend this one!
