Description However Long the Day by Justin Reed
However Long the Day is the tale of two strangers—Niall Donovan, a poor immigrant from Ireland, and Frederick Philips, a rich ne’er-do-well from New York’s Upper East Side—who discover they look so similar they could be twins. Frederick, desperate to avoid a lecture from his father, bribes Niall to switch places for the evening. Niall finds there’s more to the story than Frederick let on, and is dragged through the turbulence created by World War I, the Spanish Flu, and social upheaval, and into the corrupt belly of Manhattan on the cusp of Prohibition.
As Niall and Frederick hurtle through the next twenty-four hours, will either get what they bargained for?
Praise However Long the Day by Justin Reed
“However Long the Day never slows the pace … Although you’d think it will be a run-of-the-mill historical fiction story that delves into details and world-building, However Long the Day reads more like an action-adventure book.” — Idaho Press

Historicals are my favorite and this novel sounds captivating, unique, intriguing and amazing. What a memorable and great treasure to enjoy. Thanks.
Thank you for your comment. I hope you enjoy the book! I certainly enjoyed writing it.
This sounds like a fascinating story of two look -alikes along with some history of World War I.Thanks for the giveaway.
1918 is such a fascinating time, and the home front is often ignored. So many interesting things were happening (Temperance Movement, Suffrage, the end of open American borders, etc).
This sounds like a really good story about switching places, with a neat historical setting!
Think The Prince and the Pauper meets A Tree Grows in Brooklyn meets a Dan Brown novel. At least, that’s what I was going for!
This captivating and unforgettable novel interests me greatly. A historical that is meaningful, profound and memorable.
I can only pray it lives up to those three descriptives. Thank you so much for your interest and support. It means a lot to me as a new writer.
Sounds like an interesting story. Funny about doppelgangers and the saying that every one has a double somewhere on this earth. I just read an article on Quora about a girl who fell 2 miles from a plane and survived, after days walking through the jungle. The picture of the girl looks like my cousin’s twin!
When I started writing the novel, I wondered how plausible the doppelgänger premise was. I dug a little and found many cases, but the very first I found was of a woman in Dublin (pure coincidence) who wanted to find her double. She posted her picture on social media and asked people to spread the word. The request went around the world, but she ended up finding a doppelgänger that lived a few blocks away. Her article showed a picture of the two of them together, and they looked like siblings at least, and almost twins.
