Description of I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh
A rainy day. The deafening squeal of brakes. By the side of the road, a boy, dead from a hit-and-run. A mother bereaved. Jenna flees—her life, her trauma, and her grief—catching a bus to Wales where she starts a solitary life in a seaside village. There, she keeps to herself in a ramshackle cottage, working to heal and hesitantly befriending the neighborly townspeople. Slowly she starts to cope with her grief and—inspired by the sand and waves—begins to explore the art she gave up with her past life, even beginning to consider a better future.
But then the shocking twist comes, and the reader no longer knows what to believe. A sensational front-page trial becomes the centerpiece of the second half, and a menacing new character emerges.

A enthralling mystery and thriller which interests me greatly. Thanks.
This almost sounds like two stories in one, I’m intrigued. Thanks for the chance to win it.
I’m curious about the twist!
Mystery/thrillers are my genre. Thanks for this offer with a chance to win!
Sounds Li k e a very exciting story. Thanks for the giveaway.
I read this book and loved it! Never saw the ending coming though. I love it when an author throws in endings like this.
This book sounds chilling,
This book looks to have all the goods required for an excellent suspenseful reading experience — which I’ve been craving more than usual this year. I prefer to spend money on top literary/historical reads, or works of favorite authors, or increase my nonfiction selection since I am as passionate about that reading as I am literature/storytelling — although quite differently.
In any case, my point is I have a distinct and well-informed interest in this title, and yet I know I am unlikely to purchase or borrow it in the next year given my other priorities. This giveaway could totally indulge me in my thirst for thrills and stave off dense literary criticism and such like from the nonfiction stack. Yay for using minimal brain power with emotional rewards — and prose/plot that isn’t dumbed down!
I want this book hard. Thanks for the great indefatigable effort you put into this blog’s constant flow of quality content — not least among these provisions for our reading health is the frequency of giveaways for we readers at about the same rate and desirability as any other content! We love you well for it, or I do. 🙂
Teddy Rose for North American President! Or maybe a cushy college presidency — or whatever you desire!
That is so sweet Kara but I have no desire to be president of a college or especially, North America. LOL! I wouldn’t wish that job on anyone. 🙂 I am happy to coordinate book giveaways as long as readers, including yourself keep entering. I am so glad you enjoy what I offer.
If I ever have access to non-profit funding through my future activities, I am going to try to remember to think of a way to endow high quality blogs of this kind which provide direct service of content for the sake of the humanities, international mental health, and other policy rallying points! Seriously, we need this in the USA like whoa(!), and such things are always needed in any society fit to bear that name! 🙂 Maybe you could be paid in time instead of money too, if that would be more helpful. I am so in need of a time compensation package at my next full-time job, y’know? 😉 All best Teddy, Kara S
