This is the original ARC Challenge That I created in 2010,I hope all of you ARC Readers will join me again in 2012 for the ARC Reading Challenge. I welcome old and new participants. I don’t know about you, but my ARC pile is way too big. The only change this year is with the levels.
Note: I use the term “ARC” loosely, any book a publisher or author gives you with the expectation that you review it, counts for this challenge.
The Levels
Level Bronze: .a. All of us who have or will have less than 12 ARCS must read all of the ARCS we have. Note, that if you have 11 ARC’s and then receive a 12th one you will be bumped up to catagory b.

Hopefully I do better in 2012 than this year!
Merry CHRISTmas!
Freda, thanks for joining me again. It’s so hard to keep up with all the Arcs. I keep saying I’m going to cut back even further and then another offer pops up that I can’t refuse. LOL!
Have a wonderful Christmas.
Mystica, same for you and have a happy, safe, and healthy New Year!
Hi Teddy Rose –
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
I am lining up challenges and found my way to this one. Just so I understand – is this any review book even if it is not advance release? And if I regularly pick up ARCs to read out of offerings from Sourcebooks or Hachette will they count too?
Same thing with AudioJukebox. I select the audios from a list available – I may or may not get the one I request.
Thanks for clarifying before i make my level choice. 🙂
Hi Martha,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!
If a publisher offers it too you or you get it off of Net Galley or Galley Grab, it counts, even if it is a finished hard cover copy. I don’t know what audio Jukebox but if you get it free for a review it counts.
I hope you join us for the challenge!
Really hoping this will get me reading and reviewing the ARCs I’m sent in a super timely manner! Great challenge – really excited about taking part!
Beth, thanks for joining.
I’m looking forward to this challenge! I have so many ARCs coming to me!
Nicola, I find that too. If I know it’s going to be quite awhile before I would be able to get to a book, I tell them when I respond to the offer. They usually still send me the book. I do have a rule that I stick too most of the time, if it’s on order at my library, I cannot accept the Arc. One exception is if it is a rather chunky book and they offer me the ebook. I have trouble holding chunky books these days.
Book Loving Mommy, welcome to the challenge!
Well Teddy, you know I’m going to be there. I know what you mean about the ARCS! I was all determined to cut back this year, but my fav. publishers had so many good books coming out that I just can’t say no! Looking through a pub.’s new season catalogue is like candy for my brain. Anyway, so far they don’t seem to mind if I get behind just as long as I follow through in the end for them they seem to stay happy. 🙂
I’m going to shoot for the Bronze level again! Thanks for hosting this challenge again, and keeping it so flexible.
Jo-Jo, thanks for joining the challenge again for 2012!
Love this challenge! I’m signing up for the Platinum level!
Andrea, I’m so glad your joining us again for the 2012 Challenge!
Hi, I’d like to join this challenge. I’m posting about it right now. http://falln2books.blogspot.com
So far, I have 4 ARCs this year, so I’ll sign up for bronze for now. I have a feeling that may be changing soon, though! 🙂
I joined this last year with the goal to read less than 12. I was able to read 7 (: Stepping it up this year as I’ve gotten several review requests. Anxious to see how I do! Thanks for hosting!
Christina, I’m glad your joining again this year!
Fall into Books, welcome to the challenge!
I set to go to Silver! Thanks for hosting.
Matha, silver is a great goal. Welcome to the challenge!
I slacked near the end on this one last year, but I’m going to do better this year!
I’m so glad your joining us again this year Julie!
Lovely Challenge! Most of the books I read last year were ARCs, so this Challenge is a must-do for me! Thanks for hosting it !
