MailBox Monday now has it’s very own blog, Mailbox Monday. It is also on tour and is being hosted by Library of Clean Reads in February.
I received 2 books last week:
I won the book of my choice from The Book Depository, thanks to Lesa of at Baja’s Cozy Book Nook.
I received this book from St. Martin’s Press. I hadn’t requested it by the author, C.W. Gortner had them send it to me since I enjoyed 2 of his previous books,The Last Queen and .The Confessions of Catherine de Medici.
I don’t normally care for mysteries but have read some really good reviews so I think I will try it when I get the chance.

I’d like to read both of those! I haven’t read Gortner yet, but I hear he’s awesome! Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading 🙂
What a nice surprise from the author! Enjoy your new books!
I’ve been meaning to read Gortner’s books (even though I’m only mildly interested in historical fiction). Hope you enjoy his latest one as much as the first two!
I’ve heard good things about Gortner’s books, so he’s on my list of authors to check out. Enjoy your new books!
Lady Q, The Last Queen is my favorite with The Confessions of Catherine de Medici running a very close second.
Kathy, it was a nice surprise.
Avisannschild, he is a historical fiction master.
Anna, he is a historical fiction master. I hope you do check him out.
I do hope I get a chance to read the Gortner book. Unlikely to have access to it for a very long time though!
I’d love Trent’s newest. What a gorgeous cover too. I have already started The Tudor Secret and its good.
Mystica, I hope you get to as well! I sent a book to another blogger in India once and it took over 9 months until it arrived. I had already lost hope that it would arrive.
Dar,it sounds so good and it is not available at my library so I figured it would be a good one to get.
