I created this challenge last year to challenge myself and others that have won books, to read and review some of them. The reason publishing companies supply books for book bloggers to give away is to get word out about the books and create buzz. I didn’t do very well with this challenge in 2010, I only read one won book. However, 2011 is a New Year and a fresh start. I feel bad that I haven’t read many of the book I have won and want to make an effort to read them in 2011.
If you would like to join me, here are the levels:
Honorable Mention: Read 1-3 book you won.
Bronze: Read 4-6 books you won.
Silver: Read 7-9 Books you won.
Gold: Read 10 or more books you won.
The Rules:
1. You must write a review for each book that you read for it to count. If you do not have a blog you can write your reviews on a place like Amazon, Powell’s, Chapters, etc. 2.Crossovers with other challenges are okay.
3. Audiobooks and ebooks count, as long as you won them.
4. You can change up levels but cannot go back down a level.
5. You don’t have to make a list ahead of time for this challenge but you can if you want to.
To sign up, leave a direct link to your blog post about this challenge , using Mr. Linky below. Please leave a comment as well.

I’m a bit frightened to bite off more than I can chew. I’m going to go for The Honorable Mention. I understand about moving up and not down if I choose to change this arrangement. Thanks for giving this much needed challenge.
I got only six of my wins read this year, although I had a much better record with books I requested or was sent specifically for reviews. I’m going to stay away from entering challenges this year, and just spend a year reading whatever jumps off the shelves (or out of the mailbox) into my hands.
I think that giving up the feeling I HAVE to read them, might make them more interesting.
I have a very high class problem: I have many, many books I haven’t gotten around to reading yet that I’ve won from various bloggers’ giveaways. I really have to get a handle on it in 2011. I’m in!
I am ready. I wish you could delete my first post. I have moved my challenges to WordPress. I am so excited to whittle these books down in a fun challenge.
I chanced it. I have posted the first book finished for 2011. Your directions are very clear. I tried not to do anything to hurt Mr. Linky’s feelings. I loved my first book by Julia London. I’ll bet you’ve already read one or more of her books.
Jessica, I’m glad you signed up. I know how hard it is because I am in the same boat. Trying to balance my ARCs with books I’ve won and other books I want to read.
Tea, Thanks for linking. NO, I never have read anything by Julia London. Congrats on being the first won to complete a book for the challenge!
A little late…but I’m in! I’ve got a back-log of 7 books that I’ve won that are staring at me from my TBR shelves (one from last summer, yikes!). Let’s see if I can knock those out with your challenge as incentive.
Teddy Rose, I have 6 finished book reviews. These are books I have won. If I have done anything wrong in posting, please let me know. You can find all the titles here.
Tea, yes 6 is Bronze, however, this isn’t where you post your links. I have a new books Won post every month with Mr Linky. I am just going to post the one for July today, please post all of your links January through July there to catch up. Thanks!
Thanks for posting the July book. Ummm, maybe I can find the place for August in August. At the moment I’m not seeing the July review. I would like to read the posts of other bloggers in the challenge for July.(: Don’t worry I’m always in a state of confusion.
