Saturday my husband and I took the skytrain to downtown to see some of the Olympic pavilions. Boy did we walk! Just to get to them and back was a walk. Unfortunately, we didn’t see much. A lot of the pavilions were closed to the public. The one’s that we open and didn’t have huge ,and I mean huge, line-ups were pretty much just selling liquor. The walking was great though and taking in the atmosphere was good too. We ended the day with dinner and the free concert with WILCO. We love WILCO and didn’t even have to stand in line. Our friend lives in a hi-rise building facing the concert stage. We sat in her cozy living room, sipping tea. How lucky is that?
Do you want to join the challenge? It’s not too late! Go to 100 Mile Fitness Challenge.
You’re doing great! I’m sure you’ll hit the 66 mile mark!
Great job Teddy! I am so jealous that you are where the action is. I think of you every night when I turn on the Olympics. Have a great weekend.
Kristy, we are mostly watching on TV. We didn’t buy tickets to any of the events. It seemed silly to spend that much on tickets when we can see much more on TV. We have a 55 inch HDTV so we have great seats.
I don’t think I’ll be going downtown again until the Olympics are over. It is now wall to wall people! It is fun being here though.
Kathy, me too. Now I think I set the bar too low.
Great job this past week, Teddy!! How’s the stationary bike going?
And are you in Vancouver? I’m pea green with envy. I must have told my husband a million times this past week how much I want to move up there. So beautiful!
I don’t blame you for staying away from downtown. I’d be excited to be having the Olympics, but ready for everyone to go home when it was over. LOL.
Trish, I love my bike trainer. It’s nice to be able to ride my bike indoors in winter. The only problem is that it is a royal pain to mount it on the trainer so I am hesitant to take it off to ride out doors. We have had some really nice weather and it would have been nice to ride outside. I will take it off sor the summer though.
I moved to Vancouver over 17 years ago. I came here to visit and didn’t want to leave, so I decided to move here. I was from Minneapolis, MN. Luckily I am a social worker and they need more social workers here, that was my “in” to Canada. I have dual citizenship now.
Kristy, it is exciting being here.
