Thanks again to Dana for this challenge. I’m not sure if she moved the site of the challenge or just got busy because her last update was way back in January. The deadline is for November 15th.
I finished this challenge awhile ago but never did a wrap-up for it.
I read 4 books:
1. Stealing Athena by Karen Essex-464 pages
2. The Kingmaking by Helen Hollick- 568 pages
3. Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly
4. The Help By Kathryn Stockett

Very impressive! Congratulations!
Thanks Kathy.
Congrats to you for finishing!
Congratulations Teddy, quite an accomplishment considering how busy you’ve been!
Well done!
Lezlie
Congrats to you! I have one more to read for this challenge and I just don’t know if I’m going to make it.
Thanks everyone!
Jo-Jo, your so close, you can do it. I’m cheering you on!
I’ve been taking part in this one, but I don’t know where the challenge site itself went. Most of the books I read are chunksters, so it was really a “how many will I read in the time period” scan more than anything else.
Congrats to you. Thanks for the reminder.. I will see what I got accomplished for mine. It has been forever since I remembered it AND .. I have failed every challenge I have started… ha..I may have actually gotten this one.. GOOD job.
Hi,
I think this might be my first visit to your blog, though I did check tons of the links from the 2nd Canadian book Challenge, so maybe.
I have finished my 5th book and am deciding on my next. i do have a book about Pauline Johnson from the library and I want to feature her in the next few weeks. Do you have any fav. First Nations Authors?
Silentgirl, I’m not sure what happened with the site. It’s too bad because it is an awesome challenge. I would love to get in touch with Dana to see if she is going to host it again.
Toni, thanks Toni. I hope you finished.
Heather, I haven’t read a lot of first nations authors to be honest but, I have read books about first nations. I look forward to reading more.
Whew! Congrats on completing this challenge!
I considered joining this one as well but thought it might be a bit too ambitious for me at the time. I have Karen Essex’s Stealing Athena waiting for me on my shelf, I look forward to your review!
Congratulations on completing such a big challenge! I have seen the Helen Hollick Arthurian novels being reviewed everywhere recently, so she is an author on my radar. I have heard many good things about The Help, too.
Also, I will have to keep an eye out for the NZ movie you mentioned. Doubt it will be released here, but hopefully I can get it on netflix!
Allie, even though it’s a chunkster, Stealing Athena is a quick read. Really hard to put down. You can click on the link above, on this post to read my review of it.
Aarti, thanks! I know that you would really enjoy The Help! I hope the movie does come out on Netflix. It is wonderful.
Wow!!! Way to go!
Thanks Beth!
Congrats! Those are some good books, too.
Thanks Carol! I enjoyed them all!
