You won the two books from Canadian Reading challenge, good for you! In The Land of Cotton sounds good. I’m looking for some good reads for the Southern Reading Challenge. I’ll be interested to see what you think of it.
Kathy, Drood isn’t the type of book I normally go for but the historical element drew me to it. I also like when classic authors are characters within books.
Jo-Jo, thanks! I think it will be a good summer read too.
Thanks Mary.
Sandra, have your read The Help or Mudbound? I highly recommend those for the Southern Fiction Challenge.
Dar, it will be fun to compare reviews on In the Land of Cotton.
I just received a letter from the author today asking me to hold off my review until I receive a replacement copy. Did you get a letter? She said some uncorrected books went out by mistake and she is resending because she didn’t know if I received the right one or not.
Alyce, I’m having another great one this week. Wait until you see my list next Monday.
It’s going to slow down with wins though. I have made the decision not to enter anymore giveaways for books I can easily get at my library, unless it’s one I know I would want to keep. Like a cookbook.
My bookshelves are full and it will give more people a chance to win that may not have a good library system.
You had some good wins last week! I really enjoyed Drood – hope you do too.
Enjoy all of your new books…I also won Drood a month or so ago and am looking forward to reading that one this summer.
Great list!
