Visit Marcia every Monday at The Printed Page to share what arrived in your mailbox each week.

Thanks to Lloyd Lofthouse for sending me a signed copy!

The next two need a little explaination:

I belong to an on-line points place called My Points. You get points for participating in surveys, and taking advantage ofr various offers. Many of the offers are free, you just click to go to the site. You can also get points for shopping. I have never spent a dime on this program, I just do the free things to collect points.

I then cash in My Points for a Barnes and Noble gift card. I usually have enough points to do this about 3-4 times per year. I also get points by sending out invitations to my friends to join (only at their request). When a friend joins, then I get referral points. If you would like me to send you an invitation, just email me and I will. You can then see what My Points is like and decide if it is for you or not.

The following are what I used my Barnes and Noble gift card on this time:

I already read and reviewd this book here. However, I got it from the library and really wanted to own a copy for reference. Here is my review.
This CD is the Deluxe Version, complete with an extra track and a 40 minute DVD on the making of ‘Working On a Dream’. I know I deon’t talk about music here, but is another passion of mine and Bruce is a favorite.

Giveaway: Testimony: A Novel By Anita Shreve

Thanks to Valerie of Hachette Books I have 5 copies of Testimony: A Novel By Anita Shreve!

Book Description:

At a New England boarding school, a sex scandal is about to break. Even more shocking than the sexual acts themselves is the fact that they were caught on videotape. A Pandora’s box of revelations, the tape triggers a chorus of voices–those of the men, women, teenagers, and parents involved in the scandal–that details the ways in which lives can be derailed or destroyed in one foolish moment.

Writing with a pace and intensity surpassing even her own greatest work, Anita Shreve delivers in TESTIMONY a gripping emotional drama with the impact of a thriller. No one more compellingly explores the dark impulses that sway the lives of seeming innocents, the needs and fears that drive ordinary men and women into intolerable dilemmas, and the ways in which our best intentions can lead to our worst transgressions.
