Amen and hallelujah!! I cried. 🙂
Lezlie
I cried too Lezlie!
Been crying all weekend. Here in DC, the hope has engulfed the city. During yesterday’s National Day of Service, I met and volunteered with people from all over the country that came here by every sort of transport imaginable and were staying in every sort of lodging. Inspiring! Thanks for visiting my post of inaugural poem.
I am still smiling! Yeah!
What an awesome day!! And, yes, I was in tears too!
Even I teared up and I am not even American!
Frances, Tammy, Stephanie, and Myrthe;
It sounds like we have all been crying. Too bad we can’t bottle and sell tears. LOL!
I woke up early to watch and I have an eye infection. I hope I didn’t wash the drops I’m taking away. BTW I have very limited vision right now so don’t be suprised if I’m not around too much until it clears up. I can’t see out of my right eye at all. Very annoying!
It was an amazing day, so powerful.
I cried too..when I heard the presidents speech on the radio in my car and when I watched it last evening. I was really touched by Elizabeth Alexander reading her powerful inaugural poem and I posted it on my blog, you can see it
HERE..
I was glad to see your post. I was surprised not to see many bloggers posting about this.
I wish I could have seen it live, but at least I thought to have my husband record it. It brought tears to my eyes too.
Bonnie,
I was also touched by her poem.
Wendy, I’m so glad that you got to see it, even if it wasn’t live.
This isn’t about your photo, Teddy, though I looooove it…but no, I don’t know how to use the html editor to fix my paragraph problem. Email me at jj mmccann at aol dot com, please. I’d love to learn!
Yay! It just makes me feel good to see all of the excitement around this presidency. I hope it continues on into the future 🙂
Sam, me too!
